NEMESYS 3rd Plenary Meeting in Paris, France - October 30, 2013

The third plenary meeting of the NEMESYS project was hosted by Imperial College London (ICL) in Paris, France on October 30, 2013. This meeting was collocated with the 1st NEMESYS Workshop.

The first part of the meeting focused on the finalization of the use cases and system architecture, with regards to the internal evaluation of the corresponding deliverables (WP1). Afterwards, the partners discussed the first implementations of the virtualized honeypots and development issues regarding the lightweight malware detector (WP2). In addition, data infrastructure issues were discussed, in order to start the implementation of the necessary databases (WP3). For anomaly detection (WP4), the partners presented the main network components in which they will focus, as well as the corresponding DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks that will be examined. Furthermore, a demo on the visualization of mobile network data was presented by the partners, in order to facilitate the analytical exploration of the input dataset (WP5). Finally, the meeting concluded with preparations for the first project review, to be held on January 24, 2014, in Liege, Belgium.
